SpeedFusion bonding needs a server on the other end of the tunnel, where your combined traffic exits to the internet. Peplink gives you two options. SpeedFusion Connect (formerly SpeedFusion Cloud) is a hub Peplink runs for you. A SpeedFusion Hub is one you run yourself, using Peplink's FusionHub software. The Solo license is free. Both give you bonding and hot failover. The differences are who runs the server, what it costs, and the IP address websites see.

SpeedFusion Connect
Connect is the easy option. There's no server to build or patch. You turn it on in the router or in InControl, pick a location, and choose which WANs and devices use it. You can buy data plans in InControl or from us, and some routers covered by PrimeCare include a yearly allowance, so check your device's page in InControl first.
Peplink built Cloudflare WARP into Connect, so your traffic exits through Cloudflare's network. That gets past many sites that block data center addresses, though some streaming services still flag it as a VPN.
SpeedFusion Hub
Your own hub is the free option, and Peplink doesn't cap its bandwidth. The catch is that you deploy and maintain the virtual machine yourself, and it supports one peer, meaning one Peplink router. Most people host it on a cloud provider like Vultr or AWS. You get a fixed public IP and full control of the hub.
That cloud IP is also the hub's weak spot. Netflix, Hulu, and some banking apps keep lists of hosting-company IP ranges, and a cloud server lands on them fast. Expect "unblocker or proxy" errors if streaming goes through the tunnel.
Pricing
SpeedFusion Connect is priced by data, and every plan also caps your speed. Plans B through F top out at 200 Mbps. The unlimited plans raise that to 400 Mbps. Here are Peplink's list prices as of October 2026:
| Plan | Data | Speed cap | Valid for | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Plan B | 500 GB | 200 Mbps | 180 days | $20 |
| Plan C | 1 TB | 200 Mbps | 1 year | $40 |
| Plan D | 2.5 TB | 200 Mbps | 1 year | $80 |
| Plan E | 5 TB | 200 Mbps | 2 years | $159 |
| Plan F | 10 TB | 200 Mbps | 3 years | $299 |
| Unlimited, monthly | Unlimited | 400 Mbps | 1 month | $99/month |
| Unlimited, yearly | Unlimited | 400 Mbps | 1 year | $800/year |
With your own SpeedFusion Hub, you set those limits through your VPS provider. Our example is Vultr. We spin up FusionHub Solo for about $12 to $15 a month, depending on the location and whether you add backups. That usually includes 1 TB of data a month, and you can add more for about $10 per extra TB. Your speed comes down to the server size you pick and your router's SpeedFusion throughput.
So which costs less? For light use, Connect wins: Plan C covers 1 TB for a full year at $40. Once you're moving a terabyte or more every month, a self-hosted hub on Vultr runs around $150 to $300 a year, compared with $800 a year for Connect Unlimited.
Buy SpeedFusion Connect plans from us
We sell every SpeedFusion Connect plan in our store, from the 500 GB Plan B up to Unlimited. Pick a plan, enter your router's serial number at checkout, and we'll apply it to that router in InControl for you. It's a digital license, so there's nothing to ship or install.
Peplink SpeedFusion Connect Data Plan
Plans from $20. Applied to your router by serial number.
Keeping streaming working
With either hub, the free fix is an outbound policy rule that sends streaming traffic straight out a WAN instead of through SpeedFusion. On most Peplink routers it's under Advanced > Outbound Policy. Add a rule for domains like netflix.com and hulu.com, and set a WAN as the priority. Streaming loses bonding, but everything else stays on the tunnel.
If your business needs everything to go through the bonded tunnel, we offer a hub with a dedicated residential IP, one per client, so it doesn't get flagged. It isn't in our store. Call or text 888-381-7750, Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM Pacific.
Which one should you pick?
- Pick SpeedFusion Connect if you want bonding without running a server.
- Pick a SpeedFusion Hub if you have one router, you're comfortable managing a VM, and you want a fixed IP for free.
- Call us if streaming or banking has to work through the bonded connection.
SpeedFusion Hub vs SpeedFusion Connect FAQ
Is SpeedFusion Connect the same as SpeedFusion Cloud?
Yes. SpeedFusion Connect is the current name for SpeedFusion Cloud. It is a hub Peplink runs for you.
Is FusionHub Solo free?
The Solo license is free, but you still pay for the cloud server that runs it. On Vultr, that is about $12 to $15 a month.
Which is cheaper?
For light use, SpeedFusion Connect usually costs less. Plan C covers 1 TB for a full year at $40. If you move a terabyte or more every month, a self-hosted hub on Vultr runs around $150 to $300 a year, compared with $800 a year for Connect Unlimited.
Will Netflix work over SpeedFusion?
Streaming services sometimes flag SpeedFusion Connect as a VPN and often block a self-hosted hub. The free fix is an outbound policy rule that sends streaming traffic straight out a WAN instead of through SpeedFusion.
