About Crosstalk Mobile

A carrier built by the team you already trust.

Crosstalk Mobile is run by the same engineers who run Crosstalk Solutions. The team behind the Peplink walkthroughs and network gear reviews you may have seen on YouTube.

Why we built this

For over a decade, Crosstalk Solutions has designed and deployed mobile networks for businesses, fleets, MSPs, and remote sites. We pride ourselves on engineering mobile solutions that fit each customer's setup. The hardware was always solid. Connectivity with a carrier has always been the complicated part.

For years, the only way we could get a customer onto a cellular network was to send them down to a local brick-and-mortar carrier store and hope the sales rep there would walk them through to the right plan and the right SIM for their router. The problem showed up the moment anything went wrong. When the customer called us for support, we had no visibility into their carrier account, so we'd have to send them back to the carrier's main line to sit through phone trees while we waited on the other end of the chat unable to help. And that was the legitimate path. The other half of the cellular world is full of gray-market resellers who'll happily sell you an iPad plan to put in your router. The plan can get shut down any day, or worse, the carrier can blacklist the device's IMEI so the router itself stops working on that network.

So we became an authorized T-Mobile MVNO and built Crosstalk Mobile. Direct carrier agreement, plans designed for routers and hotspots, real engineers on support. Pair it with expert mobile solutions from our team, or use your own. Either way, the connectivity is something we put our name on.

Chris Sherwood

Founder · Crosstalk Solutions · Crosstalk Mobile

Chris founded Crosstalk Solutions over ten years ago and runs both companies today. He spent his career in VoIP infrastructure and network design, building phone and data systems for businesses that can't tolerate downtime. He's also known to a much wider audience as the host of the Crosstalk Solutions YouTube channel, where he reviews networking hardware, walks through deployments, and tests the gear in the field before recommending it. He's known on the channel for his ongoing UniFi projects, the Ghost Town Living build, and Project N.O.M.A.D.

If you've shopped for a Peplink or UniFi router and watched a review of it, there's a good chance Chris was the one filming it.

David Barger

Co-owner · Crosstalk Mobile

David has worked alongside Chris at Crosstalk Solutions for the past nine years. His consulting work covers the full range of what the Crosstalk team takes on: data center buildouts, university campus networks, production environments for movie and television studios, and cellular deployments for sites where wired connectivity isn't an option.

That last category is where Crosstalk Mobile came from. After years of routing around the cellular limitations of every carrier, David helped build the MVNO that the team wishes had existed all along.
