The Challenge with Mobile Internet
If you're running a mobile operation, internet isn't optional. Food trucks need to process card payments. Mobile command centers need reliable comms. Remote workers need to stay on video calls. And yet getting a solid data connection outside of a fixed location is still way harder than it should be.
Phone hotspots burn through data caps. Public WiFi is unreliable.
When your business depends on staying connected, that's not a risk worth taking.
What Crosstalk Mobile Gives You
We're an authorized MVNO with direct carrier agreements. Here's what that looks like in practice:
- Truly unlimited data. No caps. Process payments, run video calls, stream security cameras, download updates. We don't cut you off or slow you down based on usage.
- Nationwide 5G coverage with 4G LTE fallback. Coverage across the same networks the major carriers use. Cities, small towns, highways, and everywhere in between.
- No contract. Month-to-month. Need connectivity for a seasonal food truck? Sign up when you open, cancel when you close for the season. Running year-round? Just keep it going.
- Billing starts at activation. Order your SIM ahead of time. You don't start paying until you actually put it in your router and activate. A maximum holding time of 30 days.
Common Setups
Most of our mobile users run a cellular router in their vehicle or mobile setup. Common choices include:
- Peplink MAX BR1 or BR2. Solid routers with good antenna options. Our go-to recommendation.
- Ubiquiti Networks. One of our favorite general networking companies offers basic 5G routers as well.
- GL.iNet routers. More budget-friendly. Good for simpler setups.
Pair any of these with an external antenna (roof-mounted or magnetic mount) and you'll get significantly better signal than a phone hotspot. If you're not sure what to get, our team can help. This is what we do at Crosstalk Solutions every day.
